Our terminal is designed for Income Traders, not theoretical physicists. We prioritize Realized ROI, Liquidity Monitoring, and Assignment Probability. We’ve stripped away the noise of shifting Greeks to give you a clear, data-driven 'Go/No-Go' signal for every trade.

Option Wizard requires a connection to Alpha Vantage to pull live prices for tickers like QBTS. Simply head to the Settings tab and paste your unique Alpha Vantage API key. Once entered, the warning will disappear and your data will sync.

Not at this time. The Option Wizard is custom-tuned to the Alpha Vantage API to ensure the highest level of accuracy for our Spread Scores and calculations.

No it does not and here is why VWAP is not included

VWAP (Volume Weighted Average Price) is a popular indicator used primarily for intraday trading and execution timing.

Option Wizard focuses on options selling strategies (such as selling puts and covered calls), where decisions are based on:

Strike selection
Time to expiry
Probability and distance from price
Multi-day momentum (RSI)
Expected move and volatility

Because of this, VWAP - which reflects short-term, intraday price positioning - does not significantly improve strike selection or overall trade quality in this context.

When VWAP might be useful. VWAP can be helpful if you are:

Timing entries within the same trading day
Actively trading or scalping options
Looking for intraday support/resistance levels

For most options selling strategies, trades are held over multiple days or weeks, making broader indicators more relevant than intraday averages.

Design philosophy - Option Wizard prioritizes:

Clarity over complexity
Signals that directly impact decision-making
A clean, focused interface

Additional indicators like VWAP may be considered in future versions if they provide meaningful value without adding unnecessary noise.

Option Wizard uses a focused set of indicators designed specifically for options selling strategies (such as selling puts and covered calls). Each indicator is chosen based on its ability to improve strike selection, risk awareness, and consistency.

RSI (Relative Strength Index) - Momentum
RSI measures multi-day price momentum on a scale from 0 to 100.
Low RSI → Potentially oversold → Favorable for selling puts
High RSI → Potentially overbought → Favorable for selling calls

RSI helps identify market conditions, not exact entry points.

Distance from Price - Risk Buffer

Measures how far a strike is from the current stock price.

Greater distance = more safety
Less distance = higher premium but more risk

This is one of the most important factors in controlling downside risk.

Expected Move - Probability Context

Based on implied volatility, the expected move estimates how far the stock is likely to move over the option’s time frame.

Strikes outside the expected move are generally lower risk
Strikes inside the expected move carry higher probability of being tested

ROI (Return on Investment) - Income Efficiency

Calculates the return relative to capital at risk.

Higher ROI = more income
Lower ROI = more conservative positioning

Used to balance reward vs safety.

Slippage / Liquidity - Execution Quality

Evaluates how easily an option can be traded.

Tight spreads = better fills
Wide spreads = potential hidden cost

Helps avoid trades that look good on paper but perform poorly in execution.

Fear Factor - Market Conditions

A proprietary metric that adjusts how aggressive or conservative selections should be.

Higher values → more caution (wider strikes preferred)
Lower values → more flexibility

Acts as a dynamic risk control layer across all trades.

How They Work Together

No single indicator makes a decision.

Instead, Option Wizard uses a multi-factor scoring system that combines:

Momentum + Distance + Probability + Return + Liquidity + Market Conditions

This approach provides a more balanced and consistent selection process than relying on any one signal alone.

Design Philosophy

Option Wizard intentionally avoids overloading users with indicators.

Only signals that directly impact options selling decisions are included, ensuring:

Clear decision-making
Reduced noise
Faster analysis
